The initial thought of Spring's smocks; frills and lace, in pale and pasty palettes, scared me and my wardrobe. With visions of marshmellow dresses, arabesque tights and silky bed bonnets adorning the highstreet's sorry fashion victims. However, having been reminded of my love for Virgin Suicides and Sonia Rykiel's whimsical Spring Summer 2008 collection, I now feel about ready to grasp the incoming trend.. mixed up with some black, of course.
